The School Site Council (SSC) is intended to be a decision-making body that represents all stakeholders of the school community. The purpose of the SSC is to conduct a comprehensive needs assessment, including an analysis of verifiable state and local data, provide recommendations related to the school's Title I program, and participate in the development and approval of the school's SPSA. The School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) is a strategic plan that maximizes the resources available to the school while minimizing duplication of effort with the ultimate goal of increasing student achievement. SPSA development should be aligned with and inform the Local Control and Accountability Plan process.
