Greetings Patton Families,
We're starting this week's announcements with a shout out to our students who have been coming out to our Extended Learning Hours. We are so proud of their perseverance to spend extra time in the classroom to complete more of their classes. We encourage all our students to take advantage of the hours before school, after school, and on Saturday mornings.
On Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m., come join us for a parent presentation on the importance of Empathy from Stephanie Holloway, L.A.U.S.D. Family Educator. Contact our Commmunity Representative, Ms. Gomez, in the Patton Office with questions (310) 257-4740.
On Thursday night at 5:00 p.m., come join us for dinner and Patton's Parent-Teacher Conferences. That's right, come enjoy a hot hamburger off the grill while our teachers come to you to discuss your student's academic progress. The LAUSD Title I Parent and Family Engagement Policy (PFEP) will be distributed to each family and available on the Patton Website.
During the school day on Thursday, we will be celebrating the 50th day of school. We will recognize students with excellent attendance and outstanding academic achievements during the second term of the semester with certificates, gift cards, and a special lunch.
Lastly, Friday is an early dismissal day. Students will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m. Please plan accordingly.
