Greetings from Patton High School.
I am starting off this week's announcements to emphasize the importance of daily attendance. We need your support to help your student be successful in school. Each day students are absent, they miss critical instructional time. Attending school daily and on time helps students feel better about school - and themselves. Help your student strive for excellent attendance this year! Thank you.
This Tuesday is our Sharefest Service Learning Project Day. The volunteers from Sharefest will be guiding all students and staff in painting new murals and updating our Patton garden. A service learning project is a graduation requirement for all high school students. If your student does not have this requirement completed, they should participate in this project day. A waiver to participate has been given to each student to be signed by a parent or caregiver.
This Friday evening, we have a special field trip to the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood to watch the new Disney movie, Wish. Permission slips must be submitted to attend. Tickets are free, but are limited to 20 students. Students must be at Patton by 4:30 pm. Return time is scheduled for 11:00 pm.
Our last Saturday School Academy will be at the end of the week from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Students who have attended our Extended Learning Hours have shown excellent progress in their classes and earned the extra credit for attending at least 15 total hours. We encourage all parents to have your child attend. See our website calendar for additional dates and times.
We wish you a wonderful week!
