What is the mission of the Debate Club?
While recognizing that not everyone shares the same opinions or values, we coexist in society. It becomes our duty to foster understanding among ourselves, acknowledging diverse perspectives. The mission of the Debate Club is to empower students to comprehend “The other side.” This club serves as a secure environment for engaging with various opinions, understanding the reasons behind them, and encouraging self-reflection. Through this process, individuals can question their own conclusions, reasoning, values, opinions, identity, and thought processes, ultimately discovering common ground with their peers.
