Greetings Patton Families,
How are you feeling? One of our parents stated this week, "Sometimes parents are trying to pour from an empty cup." That's an absolute truth that we all can relate to. We encourage you to take time for yourself, to "fill your cup". Take a walk on the beach. Go to a park. Watch the sunset. If you need someone to talk to, LAUSD has support services available to parents, students, and families. Click here.
We have another filled week of student activities. Make sure your student is present everyday to take advantage of all the things going on at Patton. Wednesday, we are going on a field trip to Harbor Occupational Center to see and experience the training opportunities available after graduation. Permission slips are being accepted now. All teachers are offering extra credit for participating.
Thursday is our 50th day of school celebration. Raising Canes in Torrance has generously donated a chicken strip box lunch for every student. Students must be in attendance at lunch time to participate. Attendance is the key to success!
Also on Thursday, we have our Parent-Teacher Conferences at 5pm. We will be giving out Certificates of Achievement for select students, and parents will be given time to meet with teachers. We all must work together to help your student succeed. We hope to see you then. If you cannot attend Thursday night, please contact the school to arrange for an appointment at another time.
Thank you for your children. We honestly enjoy supporting every one of them.
Have a great week.
